How to Begin an MLK Holiday Community
Event
Our Principal Consultant,
Delores L. McCollum, founded a community MLK Breakfast,
and for 10 years served in leadership positions with the
sponsoring committee. Under her leadership,
- nearly 10,000 students
participated,
- $56,000 in scholarships
were awarded,
- $32,000 in donations were
given, and
- more than 80 individuals
and businesses partnered with the annual breakfast.
Ms. McCollum is well prepared
to guide you in the process of creating a community event
to celebrate the National MLK Holiday. She has the expertise
to lead you through the necessary steps, assist you in establishing
your event and demonstrate how to avoid some of the pitfalls
and mistakes that plague so many organizations.
